What is a Picture Worth?

Thank you Mel for suggesting this photo blog.

It's amazing what a difference it makes when you take time out of the day to document, time out to connect.  Even when you are only documenting the mundane, the ordinary, every day of things.  Things like clothes hanging on the line, vegetables chopped up hoping to become salsa, Vinny's "I did it!", Izzy's play date, the library, and even the vacuum and mop leaning against the wall, desperately hoping to be used.

Something about the capturing of the digital image and posting it for all to see brings meaning, recognition, and even reverence.

The process makes those moments real, and those real moments string together to make up our days, weeks, months, and eventually, a year.

A year of documenting the mundane, a year of connecting through photographs, a year where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
